Leprechaun On the Loose!!

Oh my, this is the letter we found when we entered the classroom this morning. And look below to see the pictures of how we found the room!

So we started the day cleaning the room up! After that we read Leprechaun on the Loose and made Leprechaun hats.

We then set a trap and went to music. While we were in music nad Mrs. Busse was in a meeting the Leprechaun visited our classroom again! He set the trap off but escaped. He left his pot with some gold (since it is St. Patrick's Day the gold was green) and a gold dust trail leading out the window.

We then read 2 books about Leprechauns and Potatoes and talked about Ireland. After reading we cut apart potatoes and made french fries because that was our favorite way to eat potatoes.
We ate the french fries and finished the sentence If I found a leprechaun's pot of gold... Some children would buy a wii, some a motorcycle, one boy would by his mom an oven and a couple children would share it!

After writing we went to the office to see if the leprechaun had been seen there. No one had seen the leprechaun so we left some french fries for the secretaries and came back to the room.

Overall we had a wonderful day but we did not find the leprechaun. Maybe next year!
